Yes. Our orchards hold GI Application No. 33, one of India's earliest GI registrations. GI certification legally guarantees that the fruit is grown in the specific geographic region of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra — the only place where authentic Hapus is produced.

We use the traditional Konkan method: mangoes are placed in ventilated rooms with dried hay and wood shavings. This triggers natural ethylene-based ripening over 48–72 hours. The result is uniform, aromatic, naturally sweet fruit — not the flat, chemically induced ripening of carbide.

Our Premium Grade Ratnagiri Alphonso carries a Brix (sugar) level of 22–26°, which is among the highest of any Indian mango variety. This is independently consistent with published GI specifications for Ratnagiri Hapus.

Real Ratnagiri Alphonso has three unmistakable qualities: (1) an intensely floral aroma that fills the room when you open the box — not just a faint sweetness, (2) deep saffron-gold flesh all the way to the seed with zero white patches, (3) completely fibre-free, custard-smooth pulp with a Brix reading above 20°. Our GI certificate is available on request.

Premium: top 15% of harvest — largest, highest Brix, best colour uniformity. Standard: mid-grade, excellent quality, slightly smaller or minor cosmetic variation. Regular: good eating quality, some size variation. All grades are naturally ripened, zero carbide.

Each mango is individually nestled in a single-layer ventilated cardboard box. No mango touches another. The box allows airflow to prevent bruising and condensation damage during transit.

Naturally ripened Alphonso mangoes last 3–5 days at room temperature from delivery, or 5–7 days if refrigerated once ripe. We dispatch at 1 day before peak ripeness, so your mangoes are ready to eat within 24 hours and at their best for 3–4 days.

Do not refrigerate unripe mangoes — cold temperatures stop the natural ripening process. Once your mangoes have reached peak ripeness (golden skin, slight give to pressure, room-filling aroma), you can refrigerate them to extend shelf life by 2–3 days. Allow 30 minutes to come to room temperature before eating.

Yes! The traditional wooden peti is a beautiful, solid wood crate. Many customers reuse it as a fruit box, display piece, or storage box at home.

If your mangoes arrive in an unsatisfactory condition — bruised, over-ripe, or not matching the grade ordered — WhatsApp us with clear photos within 2 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement box or issue a full refund, no questions asked.

If a portion of your box is damaged (not all mangoes), we offer either a partial refund proportional to the damaged count, or a replacement for the damaged mangoes in your next order.

Valid claims include: mangoes that arrive over-ripe or rotten, mangoes that show clear bruising from transit, boxes that arrive open or structurally damaged. Photos required for all claims.

The Ratnagiri Alphonso season typically opens in mid-to-late March. Early season (March) fruit is excellent but slightly smaller. Peak season is April–May when the fruit is at its most aromatic, sweetest, and most abundantly available.

The Alphonso season typically closes by mid-to-late June. Stock — especially Premium and Wooden Peti grades — sells out fast. WhatsApp us early in the season to get on the priority list.

Yes. WhatsApp us with your preferred delivery date and we will block your allocation and confirm dispatch. Pre-orders are accepted from February onwards for the upcoming season.

No. Ratnagiri Alphonso is a seasonal fruit — March to June only. Gir Kesar and Imam Pasand extend slightly into July. We do not sell off-season fruit as it would not meet our quality standards.
